Uses
In musts and wines it develops an antioxidant and antiseptic action
to ward undesirable microflora, it makes the solubilization of phenolic
substances easier to do.
Composition
Chemically pure potassium metabisulfite.
Dose
Dissolve some must or wine in a little water and then add homogeneously
the potassium metabisulfite to the product in question following these
doses:
From 10 to 30 g/hl for musts depending on the sanitary condition of
the grapes.
From 2 to 5 g/hl for wine, in clarification, racking or after filtration.
From 10 to 15 g/hl for the preservation of sweet filtered wines.
Warning
For maximum doses and use refer to laws in force for the use of potassium
metabisulfite.
Preservation
Close packing: keep it in an aired, dry and fresh
place.
Open packing: once the container has been open and
used it must be kept closed.
