Uses

It is used in effluent treatments, in galvanoplasty and in the fishing industry.
Tanning industry: It can be used as a sulfhydric acid sequestrator.
Food industry: It is used as an additive (preservative), antioxidant and germicide.
Dry cleaner’s: It is used as a chlorine neutralizer.
Photographic industry: It is used as a fixer reducing agent and also in desalinization plants of inverted osmosis, to remove the chlorine excess and to preserve the membrane.
Other uses:
It is also used in the production of fibres, vitamin K, Vitamin A and pharmaceutical intermediaries
