Appearance: Small sharp-pointed crystals of free fluidity.
Container: Polythene bags containing 25kg and big bags of 700 a 1000kg.
Uses
Antichlor
and bleacher in the textile and paper industry.
It is used as a bicromate reducing agent and as a tanning solubilizer.
Disinfectant and sterilizer in the fermentative industry.
Antioxidant in vegetable and fruit juice preparation.
It is used in effluent treatments, in galvanoplasty and in the fishing
industry.
Tanning industry: It can be used as a sulfhydric
acid sequestrator.
Food industry: It is used as an additive (preservative),
antioxidant and germicide.
Dry cleaner’s: It is used as a chlorine neutralizer.
Photographic industry: It is used as a fixer reducing
agent and also in desalinization plants of inverted osmosis, to
remove the chlorine excess and to preserve the membrane.
Other uses:
It is also used in the production of fibres, vitamin K, Vitamin
